Julie joined us in January 2008 and brings with her a wealth of expertise and knowledge, as well as practical hands on experience and understands how important your case is to you.
Julie completed her Degree and Masters at Lancaster University and was called to the Bar in 2002. Since then Julie has advised Magistrates in Thames Valley and Cheshire regarding law, procedure and sentencing and knows the best way to deal with Magistrates and a little of how they think when they approach cases in Court. After starting her career within the Court service advising Magistrates on road traffic law, Julie has maintained a keen interest in this area since 2003.
Through her extensive Court experience, Julie has built good working relations with Magistrates, Barristers, Expert witnesses and Crown Prosecutors. Julie cross-qualified as a Solicitor in 2007 and worked at a motor offence practice in Manchester before running the motor offence department at Olliers.
Julie has particular expertise in defending drivers accused of driving whilst over the limit and has been involved in a number of cases, which were won as a result of incorrect police procedures being followed. Julie has also had many successes where clients were facing speeding or failing to furnish procescutions, again, due to exploiting evidential gaps in the Prosecution's case.
Julie understands how the Crown Prosecution Service deal with these offences and is able to offer expert cross examination to discredit the prosecution witnesses in your case. Through her experience, Julie has learned that some Courts and Prosecution Units are more difficult to overcome than others and should you instruct her, she will provide you with realistic advice applicable to the circumstances of your individual case.
The chances are Julie has dealt with a case just like yours.
