OLLIERS MOTOR LAW TEAM

Matthew joined Olliers Solicitors as a trainee in 1988 becoming a Partner in 1991. He was appointed Managing Partner in 1995 and has overall responsibility for business development, planning, financial management and marketing. He is also responsible for co-ordinating new business within the firm.

His background is as a Serious Crime Specialist and Fraud Litigator together with substantial experience as a Road Traffic Defence Advocate.

Ruth joined Olliers in 2005 qualifying as a Solicitor in 2007.

Ruth is an extremely well rounded criminal practitioner. She has experience of serious criminal prosecutions including a number of MTIC/Carousel fraud and is a member of the Young Fraud Lawyers Association.

Ruth is also a specialist motoring lawyer and has extensive experience of all areas of motor defence law with a particular emphasis on defending speeding cases, excess alcohol offences and allegations of failing to furnish driver identity.

Ruth has a particular interest in defending speeding prosecutions particularly those involving laser devices.

Ruth is approachable and understands that clients may find the prospect of Court proceedings intimidating. She has a sympathetic nature and understands the needs of clients.

Since joining the firm Laura has become an extremely well rounded criminal practitioner, having worked on a number of substantial MTIC Carousel Frauds together with other serious criminal cases, in particular two high profile trafficking cases, an allegation of murder and a number of drugs conspiracies.

Laura also regularly appears in the Magistrates Court for the North West and is a member of the Young Fraud Lawyers Association.

Laura is a specialist motor lawyer with a wealth of experience in all areas of road traffic law, with particular emphasis on defending cases of dangerous driving, failing to stop/report and failing to furnish driver identity.

Aimee is the Department Administrator.

Aimee joined Olliers in 2009 bringing a wealth of experience from having worked for a number of large firms. Aimee has a good knowledge of motoring practice and an interest in helping clients. Aimee provides reassurance to clients through her sensitive and empathetic manner. She is well used to liaising with clients, Barristers and professional experts.

As a result of a sophisticated case management system Aimee is often able to assist with updating clients as to progress in their individual case should a client's solicitor be out at Court. In addition she appreciates when matters are urgent and will ensure that such matters are passed to the specific solicitor immediately.
